​Sophie Cown is an Architectural Photographer whose practice focuses on capturing contemporary and modern buildings and therefore, is interested in the creative potential of futuristic architecture. She works in digital format resulting to professional, clean and sharp imagery. Her approach is related to isolated curves and lines of minimalist architectural curvature, which best describes her work. She has an interest in the materiality of architectural structures and the transformative potential of photography. Whereby a photographer can make a building look completely different to another practitioner’s style, using not only the actual architecture but everyday materials that her work then transforms. Her viewpoint transforms existing architectural buildings into sculptural forms, changing the perception of the viewer to appreciate the buildings as living sculptures.
